It has come to our attention that a scam artist has been posing as a job recruitment representative for American Standard Air. (American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning is a premium brand of Trane U.S. Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand). The false “recruiter” posts openings on various Internet sites to set up interviews for work-at-home positions, inviting interested persons to reply to an individual e-mail address, but also using www.americanstandardair.com as a reference for information on the company allegedly doing the hiring. Those responding are told that the company needs to send them money so they can purchase needed equipment for the job — however, this is a fraudulent attempt to gain access to their personal bank account information.
